This landmark appointment marks an exciting new chapter in the festival’s journey as it continues to grow into one of Africa’s leading platforms for cultural exchange, tourism, and the creative arts. Mr. Fred Kyei Mensah’s extensive experience, visionary leadership, and outstanding contributions to Ghana’s creative industry make him an exceptional choice to lead the Festival Board. The legendary Ghanaian music producer has a vast array of dynamic experience when it comes to creativity, entertainment and tuorism.
Founded by UDAI Studios USA LLC, the Diaspora Dance & Arts Festival was established with the mission of connecting Africa and the global diaspora through dance, music, fashion, visual arts, tourism, education, and cultural heritage. Since its inception, the festival has provided a dynamic platform for artists, cultural practitioners, entrepreneurs, and communities to celebrate African identity while fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange.
As Board Chairman, Mr. Fred Kyei Mensah will provide strategic leadership, governance, and direction to the Festival Board and Organizing Committee. He will also play a pivotal role in strengthening partnerships with government institutions, traditional authorities, corporate organizations, cultural institutions, tourism stakeholders, and international partners, helping to elevate the festival’s profile both in Ghana and across the world.
His appointment comes at a historic moment as preparations intensify for the 4th Edition of the Diaspora Dance & Arts Festival, scheduled for October 15–17, 2026, in Aburi, Ghana. This year’s edition will coincide with the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Revered Odwira Festival, one of Ghana’s oldest and most cherished cultural festivals.
