Ghanaian dance crew The Arenees has made history by placing third at the World Supremacy Battleground Finals 2025 in Dubai — becoming the first-ever Ghanaian hip-hop dance crew to win an international title.
Their journey was set in motion 1.5 years ago when Ghanaian dance legend Olando Amoo made a heartfelt promise to the young crew: “I’ll bring you to the world stage so everyone can see Ghana’s talent.” Now, that dream has come true and with passion, resilience and talent, the Arenees delivered a show that impressed the world.

“We made history” the new Director from WSB Ghana PAPASIKA shared proudly. From a dream in Ghana to the world stage in Dubai, the boys proved what Ghanaian dancers are made of.
Despite visa challenges and fierce global competition, the Arenees climbed from fourth in prelims to an incredible third-place finish in the finals. This milestone adds to Ghana’s growing reputation in the global dance arena, following stars like Afronitaaa and Abigail.

With crews like University of San Agustin Dance Arts and GBoyz Juniors also shining, the Arenees proved that Ghana has its own champions. And this, without a doubt, is only the beginning.
