Ghana is one of the countries in the world with the most beautiful cultural background. It is significantly colorful and attractive whenever it is displayed.
This year’s edition of the Ohio Ghana Festival, which celebrates the rich Ghanaian culture, showed its beautiful side. The festival got Columbus Ohio on a standstill between July 31 and August 3, 2025, as the African culture flooded the festival to enjoy the wonderful ambiance.
The colorful event, which had Kasapreko Ghana Limited, one of Ghana’s leading beverage producers as its headline sponsor, displayed a lot of African heritage through the rich Ghanaian designs and attires, food, dance, music, royalty, among other interesting happenings that made the event very colorful and attractive. The wealthy course saw its maiden edition just two years ago, and it looks like it has come to stay, and organizers should surely be proud of themselves for the great job.
Ghanaian Gospel singer Diana Antwi Hamilton and Highlife singer Akwaboah Jnr entertained the patrons with their amazing crafts. They had one of the loudest sing-along from the excited crowd. The Kasapreko Grand Durbar, which took place on August 2, was a spectacular experience. From the vibrant sounds of our drums to the warmth of our diaspora community, everything reminded me of home.

Ghana is one African country that has been able to showcase a lot of their cultural heritage so well, despite the fact that there are more untouched modes of doing so. The 4-day event was well-planned and scheduled for the town of Columbus Ohio with exciting activities such as the Akwaba Night, Symposium and wet your appetite with a taste of Ghanaian meal, musical performance and an appreciation tour of the city of Columbus.
The festival saw some revered Ghanaian traditional leaders. Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Paramount Chief of Abeadze Traditional Area, His Royal Majesty Daasebre Kweku Ewusi VII, President, Upper East Regional House of Chiefs and member of the council of state, Pe Ditundini Adiali Ayagitam II and Omanhene of the Lower Axim Traditional Area, Dr. Awulae Attibrukus III was present to grace the festival.

Ohio Ghana Festival is one of the biggest invasion and exposure for the true Ghanaian cultural heritage, and it is gradually inking the Ghanaian story the Ghanaian way.
