  • MARY YEBOAH, AN OVERLOOKED GHANAIAN TOURISM GEM

Tourism in Ghana has seen some level of elevated awareness over the past years. A number of significant personnel have shown up to help promote the glorious motherland.

Miss Mary Yeboah, a religiously dedicated educator at the Ghana National Museum and Monuments Board, is one of the underrated gems in this wonderful industry. It has always been an honor to be possessed with the rich history of Ghana.

The proud Ghanaian lady is privileged to open the rich history and culture of the Republic of Ghana to distinguished guests of the reputable facility. She has led the hosting of top individuals from around the world. The ability to transfer such information to people with diverse backgrounds fills you with pride.

Maya, as she is affectionately called, has also handled guests ranging from professors and doctors to high-profile dignitaries. The president of Czech Republic, His Excellency Petr Pavel, is one of the biggest profiles she has handled at the Ghana National Museum and Monuments Board so far. Any opportunity to showcase the beauty and significance of Ghanaian stories brought joy to her heart.

The Ghanaian heritage, filled with mind-blowing occurrences and beautiful pictorial experiences, is one of the biggest in Sub-Saharan Africa. From the transatlantic slave trade, through colonialism, to independence, and now, the fourth republic. Tourism, with respect to the history of Ghana, our rich cultural backgrounds is worthy of being trumpeted.

Through her social media platforms, the undiluted Ghanaian history and culture are being served to a global audience, promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. She makes very good use of her resources, both intellectual and technological, to throw more lights on the pitfalls and how vital it is for Ghanaian to take charge of their space. The delicious Ghanaian dishes, chlothings, among others, which causes the interest of many, are very notable on her page.

With a passion for education and cultural exchange, Mary looks forward to continuing to share Ghana’s story with the world. This is surely the way to go; telling the Ghanaian story the Ghanaian way.
