  • Historic Coronation of Nana Adwoa Sarfowaa Adei; A Celebration of Heritage, Unity, and Global Connection

The Asona Ankoboa Palace in Aburi became the center of history and celebration as the royal enstoolment of Ms Tiffany Keys of UDAI Studios USA, now, Nana Adwoa Sarfowaa Adei, the newly installed Sub Queen Mother of Asona Ankobea clan in Aburi and Akropong, took place in grand style.

The event, which took place on Monday, November 3, 2025, was graced by chiefs and queen mothers from across Ghana, members of the Asona Royal Family, community elders, and invited guests from the United States and beyond.

The colorful cultural ceremony drew together traditional leaders, dignitaries, guests from across Ghana, and esteemed representatives from the African diaspora, marking a monumental day in the history of Aburi. The event beautifully showcased undiluted Ghanaian tradition, royal regalia, and deep ancestral heritage, reminding everyone present of the importance of unity, respect, and cultural preservation.

In a truly historic moment, Nana Adwoa Sarfowaa Adei became the first African American from Philadelphia to be enstooled as a Sub Queen Mother in Aburi, symbolizing a bridge between Ghana and the diaspora. Her enstoolment is a reflection of the recognition of her continuous work in promoting cultural exchange, youth empowerment, and community development through her philanthropic organization, the Nana Adwoa Sarfowaa Adei Global Initiative (NASAGI).

Under the guidance and blessing of Nana Abena Gyanwa II, the Asona Akoboa Hemaa of Aburi and Akropong, and Nana Obirikorang II, the Asona Akoboa Hene, the ceremony proceeded with grace and spiritual significance. The rituals, drumming, and dance displayed the beauty of Ghanaian heritage, while speeches from dignitaries emphasized the importance of cultural continuity and unity between Ghana and the diaspora.

The event concluded with heartfelt thanks to the chiefs, queen mothers, community members, and international guests who came to witness this historic moment. Guests expressed admiration for the flawless organization and warm hospitality that characterized the occasion. Many described it as a “royal experience filled with cultural pride and divine purpose.”

As the CEO of UDAI Studios USA begins her royal journey, her vision remains clear; to strengthen cultural ties between Ghana and the African diaspora, empower communities through education and development, and uplift women and youth to shape a brighter future. This is achievable through dedicated effort from both parties.

Indeed, the enstoolment of Nana Adwoa Sarfowaa Adei marks not only a new chapter for Aburi but also a powerful symbol of unity between Africa and its global family.
