Celebrated Ghanaian Afro choreographer Laud Anoo Konadu, popularly known as Dancegod Lloyd, has given Africa’s Dancehall King, Shatta his flowers for his impact in his career.
In an interview with Sammy Flex on Sammy Flex TV, the renowned dancer acknowledged the support of Ghanaian singers for the dance industry. He went on to single out his appearance in the music video of King Already, a song which had Beyonce featuring the Ghanaian Dancehall heavyweight.
“It was through King Already that everything just changed for me. I’ve worked with a lot of artistes, but, that collaboration actually made a lot of parents see the need to bring their children to enroll in my school. I had a lot of people reaching out to me because they saw that I was in the video, and had it not been Shatta Wale’s influence, I wouldn’t have had that opportunity.” the choreographer revealed.

King Already is one of the exquisite records on BeyoncĂ©’s Lion King album. The award-winning project, released in 2019, featured some African giants. Also themed “The Gift” also had Ghanaian producer Guilty Beatz bringing some Afro dimensions to the project.
The choreographer has been working with most of the top artistes, which includes Stonebwoy, Medikal, King Promise, Sarkodie, KiDi, among others. He recently had some arrows of backlash from some stakeholders who were unimpressed with his output of his dance video of Mesiah a collaborative piece of Kweku Flick and Sarkodie.
Not only did the renowned dance instructor acknowledge that as one of his greatest achievements but also revealed that it brought some beliefs in himself as a dancer. He is a well-known dance coach and choreographer and a founding member of dance school, DWP Academy. The iconic African choreographer has performed on numerous platforms worldwide, flying the flag of Ghana high.

These kinds of appreciation and admissions breed unity and growth in the various demographics of our entertainment space as Ghanaian. A united front will surely make this industry a formidable one that may foster resilience and dominance in the continent and the world at large.
